Star forming regions known as EGG's (evaporating gaseous globules) are at the end of these giant pillars, which are several light years in length. The dense regions of mostly molecular hydrogen gas fragment and gravitationally collapses to form stars. The most complete EGG's heat and brighten the end of the pillars making less mature EGG's visible, and causes further evaporation of gas. Since all planets and all living things are thought to be made up of components created in the stars, the name "Pillars of Creation" given this section of the Eagle Nebula (M16) is fitting in more than one way.(note þ 21, 2 and þ 91, 1 of the book)

Caveat Lector
or, A note about my notes:

These notes are my personal compilation of thoughts and understanding regarding the book "Is There a Creator Who Cares About You?", published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. (©1998 by Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania). Likely this information if attempted to be forced into the congregation book study setting could overwhelm and side track the study, therefore the reader is offered due caution in this regard. Enjoy these portions if you want to! (Ecclesiastes 11:2)
